About Forge
Forge is Kassouf's summer leadership program for accounting students interested in exploring careers in public accounting and learning more about future internship opportunities with our firm.
Designed for high-potential accounting students, Forge provides an opportunity to connect with firm leadership, engage with accounting professionals, learn about career paths in public accounting, and gain firsthand exposure to life at a regional accounting and advisory firm, all while discovering the best of Birmingham.
Participants will experience professional development sessions, networking opportunities, and discussions focused on building a successful accounting career while learning more about Kassouf's culture, people, and opportunities. They'll also dive into what makes Birmingham a great place to live and work, visiting some of the Magic City's top spots.
Forge serves as an early introduction to Kassouf and our internship recruitment process. Many former Forge participants have gone on to pursue internship opportunities with the firm.
Program Details
- Evening Program: May 12, 2027
- Full-Day Program: May 13, 2027
- Location: Birmingham, Alabama
- Limited travel assistance may be available for eligible participants
- Participation is limited and selection is competitive
Ideal Candidates
Applicants should:
- Pursue a degree in Accounting
- Expect to complete their undergraduate degree in December 2028 or Spring 2029
- Intend to build a career in public accounting
- Want exposure to the opportunities and career paths available at a regional accounting firm
- Value networking, professional development, and relationship-building with accounting professionals and fellow students

Required Application Process
To be considered for Forge, applicants must complete both of the following steps:

Step 2: Complete the Forge Supplemental Application:
Applications will only be considered when both steps have been completed.
Selection Process
Applications will be reviewed based on eligibility, academic background, demonstrated interest in public accounting, and overall fit for the program.
Selected applicants may be invited to participate in a brief phone conversation as part of the review process.
Due to the competitive nature of the program and anticipated application volume, only applicants who advance in the selection process will be contacted.
